This interactive workshop, given by Marc Moesser, a Creator Fund Investor, will go through the basic concepts of how VC operates: the investment philosophy; capital and legal structure of funds; and what a career in VC might look like. He covers the different stages of a typical VC investment, from first contact to finalised investment, and talks about the differences in funds between early stage investors and late stage investors. The aim of the workshop is to clarify VC lingo and enable students to broaden their commercial awareness of the VC and startup world.
The Creator Fund is a seed fund focussed exclusively on student lead ventures and is based in over 20 campuses all over the UK and Europe. Marc is an early stage tech investor, focusing on deep-tech ventures in the seed and pre-seed stage and has led several investments in the AI, Robotics and Fin-tech markets.
